Our Story

Our history began 50 years ago in 1972, when a small group of families were led by the Holy Spirit to found a church here in San Diego, California. We are a Christian church focused on family and community. Read more about our history, mission, beliefs, and ministries below.

Meet Our Pastors

Pastor Brenton Murphy, M.Div and First Lady Daviava Murphy

Pastor Brenton Murphy, a native of Smithfield, NC, has been a dedicated minister of the Word since his middle school years. A proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University (2014), where he founded a thriving campus ministry that continues to impact students today, he later earned his Master of Divinity from Duke University in 2018.

​

After years of collegiate ministry, Pastor Brenton expanded his mission to Raleigh, NC, fostering a community where families, experienced the transformative love of God. He is joined in ministry by his wife, Daviava Murphy, and they are the proud parents of two sons, Brenton Jr. and Berkley.
